Dont release!! It is better to keep them than to release as they arent a native species...thus reasoning for outlawing certain species, to keep owners from "dumping" them where they can wreck havoc on ecology.
The chance someone will write you a ticket, or knock on your door too see if you own a piranha is slim to none, and slim is out of town! lol

Yeah as Lascolinas said, the whole reason this fish are illegal is to stop people from releasing them and destroying the native wildlife. If you get caught doing that you will get in serious trouble, potentially jail even.

i dont nor have had piranha....just thougth it was a goofy name. and as you can see i didnt spell it right either - danged old speedy fingers & crappy spell ck


i wouldnt do that anyways cause i swim in the lake myself. we did have a prob with ppl releasing baby alligators a while back tho

Glad to hear you were only joking.
I grew up in FL where gators were everywhere... swimming in a lake was something we did NOT do, except for the drunk people, but they usually went boating... lots of boating deaths in FL...lost a few classmates that way.
