Hi everyone!

I've had my 25 gal aquarium for ~10 years. I took atrocious care of it for many years, but I'm hoping to change that now and get everything cleaned up and beautiful again! Right now I only have some small guppies descended from some free fancy guppy babies I got from a local pet store. They stay small and don't have large tails like previous generations, but the males have lovely black/orange markings.

My long term plans involve switching from the hideous blue gravel I have now to pool filter sand, getting a few plants, and eventually adding neon tetras and cherry shrimp.

I appreciate all the fantastic info shared here!

You should move it to welcome.

Sorry if there is spelling and grammer mistakes above. I am not good with either.
If you have fish or plants you need to get rid of pm me I am always looking for more.

I'm sure you'll do fine with your swap - I highly recommend knuggs in the classified area of the forum for shrimp and plants, he carries red cherry shrimp, yellow shrimp, and orange pumpkin shrimp as well as dozens of great plants. He almost exclusively stocked the plants for my tank for a great price and great to work with

That would make sense. Haven't you heard? We make yogurt, not sense.

Hi Steffi,

Welcome to the forum Best of luck with your tank. We'd love to see pictures when you're done.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
