Hi Cassy, welcome to the forum, from one California girl to another!
Are you getting as much rain where you are as I am? El Nino rages on.
Would love to see some pics of your tank, it sounds really nice.

Hi there Cassy,

Welcome to the forum.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

hope you like it here :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
