Dont fill the pond and keep nigel in it, like an underground pit cage... like an outdoors terrarium with a chicken

too late,it's filled with water. lol

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Hi Stephen, Amy, and all the rest incuding the poultry. Welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

Sorry its been so long, I don't get online much. We have hens, and they do make a bit of noise, although not like a rooster. But if they're hungry or thirsty, you will definitely hear them. Make sure you have a good way of dealing with their poop - cause there is a bunch of it, we have a compost for ours.

I wouldn't go for it if there is an ordinance or code against them though.
