Welcome! Nice looking tank. With this addiction comes all sorts of new things we change in our tanks. Have you thought of live plants? Tell us what type of fish you have. Glad you found this forum!

Plants are not that difficult, but you do need adequate lighting. Low light plants are easy to keep. How big is your tank, and what light do you have on it now?

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I'm just going to say, that if your pleco died you will want to know why. Sorry for the loss. Is your tank cycled? If not, you'll have more deaths. Make sure you have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites, they are deadly. Daily water changes will help, along with a good water conditioner like Prime.

Thanks for all the advice I greatly appreciate it. He was actually a pleco from an old tank years ago that I just wanted to share, now the tank I have has been running perfect (knock on wood), what types of plants do u recommend?
