I've wandered over from the Horse Forum, delighted to have found someplace I can relish in my other obsession in life, fish.
I'm a lifelong sufferer of chronic MTS (multiple tank syndrome) who has fallen off the wagon yet again and, even worse, seem to have passed the disease on to my children (they took Grand and Reserve Grand in Aquatic Science this last summer at the 4-H fair). I've had fish for as long as I can remember - through the graciousness of tolerant parents had an entire fish room growing up and have had one (or more) tanks going ever since. We won't go into exactly how many years that would be, but suffice it to say more than 20
At the moment we just have the kids' two project tanks, but tomorrow I am off to check out a possible buy for myself - can't let the kids have all the fun. My son has a 29 gallon tank with a bit of a mish-mosh of various tropicals and my daughter has a 35 gallon in which she is maintaining her guppy breeding program. If all goes as hoped tomorrow I'll be bringing home a 120 gallon setup that I have NO idea just what I'm going to do with quite yet - to date my largest tank has been a 75, so I'm itching to have my hands on this much tank.
Looking forward to being able to avail myself of all the wonderful information and knowledge here on the fish forum - and to being able to be a part of the community.

hello and warm welcome to you.
how wonderful to have a new project and very nice size tank.
please post pictures if you can

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Hello and welcome to the forum We're glad to have you here with us.

I'd love to have a 120 gallon to play with but there isn't any tank space left in this house ;/ I'm looking forward to hear what you've purchased and what your thoughts are of stocking it.

Happy hunting :)

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Picked up the new tank yesterday - got it home and unloaded so it's now sitting in the living room waiting for me to get everything else moved around to make room in it's final resting place - - - - I spent a lot of time last night just staring at it and coming to grips with how big it really is, lol.
This is a picture of it in it's old home - it will probably be this weekend before I get it moved around in our house and ready to take any pics of. I do know it won't look a thing like it does in this picture as I have totally different plans for substrate, decor, etc
