Hey, I've been posting for a day or so on here, but not so much. Mostly asking advice in the DIY forum. :)

I remember as a kid having an aquarium, and only remember a white frog and a couple "kissing fish" but that's about it. A couple years ago I was in Wal-Mart and of course felt bad for the Bettas they were keeping in something about the size of a medicine cup thing, so I went ahead and got one. Since then I've been interested in fish, and either have or have had two black fin sharks (really catfish, but sharks sounds so much cooler! haha), one red-bellied pacu, two male bettas, and I tried to keep some guppies and goldfish, but that was a disaster. At least they cycled the larger tank I own, because I'm about to move the betta I still have in there, maybe with some harlequin rasboras or corys...

Anyways, I have an idea for a tank I'd like to build, so any advice or comments would be appreciated in the DIY forum, and hopefully, time permitting, I'll be around here soaking up the tons of information. I'm a full time student (less than a year to go!) with two jobs, so time isn't always something I have...

You can find me on a couple of Mustang forums and a music forum as well, but I'll refrain from posting links. ;)

haha, me too. if it doesn't, it could make quite the mess.

That's why I'll probably spend longer researching than actually building. :)

I don't have a problem with the people. It's just the.......

ok yeah I do. 8)

I'm just kidding!

If you've never been in the South, I highly suggest it. I've been all over the U.S. and love it here. Probably won't live anywhere else, but it's kinda hard to predict the future.

(yes, we wear shoes, use indoor toilets, and speak English)

I don't call it a day until I've driven past a lone shoe or remains of a shirt in the middle of the highway.

I've been to a few homes in the area where they have an addiction for old vending machines. *lol*

Warning: your one syllable word WILL turn in to two. Or should I say way-ahl. *lol*

It's contagious too! Every few weeks ANOTHER EBay boat ends up parked in the back of our yard... say it ain't so dad. *lol* Well ok I suppose I should move our crapped out Ford Escort out of it's new parking spot before I poke fingers. Heh.

Seriously though... the biggest peeve is people who pull out in front of you going 9.2 miles an hour. Oh yeah. You can wait for them, mmhmm.

I didn't know until I got down here though... that we have beaches. It's cloudy today but sometimes that whips up the waves pretty magnificently. I always miss the dolphins when they're hunting the schools of fish on our marina. :(

Haha, it's an adjustment to move here I'd imagine.

About those people pulling out in front of you.. The two worst places on the planet I've ever seen, well, ok, the two worst places in America anyways, are Birmingham and Huntsville. Both are terrible, borderline unsafe place.

And what's wrong with the way we talk?!? It reflects our personality! We're mostly a bunch of laid back people! 8)

Personally I'd have it no other way.

Haha, I take no offense. I'm not a fan of the dialect in other regions of the US myself. Basically, I "caint unnastan'em."

:D
