Welcome to TFK, Steve. I saw your user name and thought, "a new member from my area of the woods has joined the site!"
I thought your user name had to be a reference to the official marine state fish of California, the Garibaldi. But, I see your from Liverpool, which is even better than being from California! We're glad you joined us. :)

Garibaldi Reds

Hi Aunt Kymmie

I don't think you would swap our weather for yours. Or your wine!

I am originally from Nottingham (Robin Hood and all that!) and my team, Nottingham Forest are known as the Garibaldi Reds due to the fact they have worn red shirts in honour of Giuseppe Garibaldi since their inception in 1865. I wonder if your state fish is named after him aswell?

Hope I haven't bored you.

Cheers

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the forum. What a great tank size to start out with. I had a 45 gallon hex. to start which wasn't too shabby but I probably would have been ecstatic with a tank your size at the beginning.

Hi Romad

Thanks for the welcome. What a friendly place this is! I wish my tank was 125G but alas it is only 125 litres, about 33G. But hey, it fits and doesn't look out of place. Maybe 1 day with a house move I will upscale.

Cheers

I completely missed the mark on that one. Still a great size to start with. We just built a house and I'm already maxed out on tank space. I have a 75 gallon in the living room which is the showpiece and I'm still trying to figure out where to put the 6 betta tanks (2.5 gallons each). They are currently housed in the dining room. The 45 gallon will be set up again in my "girl cave" which remains to be built.
