Hello Im new on this forum

Hello everyone,

Although I have been keeping fish for many years and I am a member on several other forums somehow I missed this one...lol Today when I did a search looking for some DIY info this site came up and had some great info. Don't know how I missed this site but im glad to join today!!

About my tanks:
If the signature works (this is my first post here..lol) you will see the links to my tanks and pics in the links.

Well nice to join and hope to see everyone around the forum..

I do have a few questions for you. I see that in your 135 gal tank you switched from gravel to sand because Jaws got hurt. Have you been happy with the sand since? How do you clean the sand? I mean, with gravel, I can just suck the guck out of it and the rocks drop back down. (yup, really a newbie)

Can you plant live plants in that swimming pool sand? About how expensive is that? Also, what about all those wonderful flat rocks I keep seeing in peoples tanks. Where can I get those? Is it safe to put rocks I find on the beach, if I boil them?

lovely tanks.

when you set up a new tank,hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor,that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
