Talking Hello Fellow Fish Lovers!!

My name is Gabriela. When I was little I used to ask my aunt to put on a VHS tape of deep sea creatures by National Geographic before my nap... problem was, it would get me all rilled up and I would start asking questions about all the fish and invertebrates and such... thats when I started trying to learn as much as I could about fish. In high school I took Marine Biology and got even more hooked.

As of right now I have only one tank and a "babysitting" tank. Due to financial problems I had to give my Dwarf Puffers (Pollux, Castor and Helena), Mollies, Guppies and Panaques (don't remember the english name for them) away.

I kept the ones that i've had the longest: My koi (Florindo), 2 Veiltail Goldfish(Athlete and Butterfly) and a black Molly (Kunta).

I've been babysitting my firends' fish for 2 months now while she deals with family issues out of state I've decided to call them Mercuttio and Benvolio :D they are common goldfish, though one has a tail that is much longer and "flowier" than any common goldfish I've seen before!!

Hi Gabriela,

Welcome to the forum. We hope you like it here with the rest of us fish lovers :)

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If youíre going to take it under your wing then youíre responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

@ basxgillen: Yes, it does, though I have a slight feeling that this time the fish are staying here permanently... Which means I'm gonna have to try to find them a bigger tank. My friend had them in a 10 gallon and they are too big for it.

@Kitten_Penang: Yes!!!! It was about time!!! lol And thanks for letting me know how to see the tanks!!

@Romad, Tanker, Auntie and Byron: Thanks guys!!!! Glad to be here!!!!! :D
