Only about a month. And I've had a tough time due to my total lack of experience; the jellies are my first saltwater tank and I've only had freshwater for a few months. Talk about diving in the deep end!

I lost three of the original four. But my source, jellyfishart.com, has a 48hr guarantee so I have some store credit. Once the tank finishes cycling, I plan to get some more. And a book on the topic!

I would not call my tank ideal, but I just can't afford a kreisel tank. It seems to be based off the BioUbe. They added a heater and lots of clear glass beads. I added even more glass beads (green); mostly out of fear after losing the first two jellies.

I would not recommend this for a beginner, but if you have mad skillz, patience, and the dream... :)

Thanks for sharing...didn't know there was a biz doing this. Not to sound rude but I can't imagine keeping anything in an 8g (for $249.00) other than pond snails..seems inhumane. Also I am anti-biorb/biube...they are focused on looks and commercial and not the welfare of the creatures they put in them. Until then I will keep putting the pennies in the piggy for the $12,000 kreisel tank..lol..I might have it in 95yrs.

In that case, you may want to know about Midwater Systems Jelliquarium Moon Jellyfish Tank Kreisel Aquarium Ephyra Tanks Medusa Mangrove Jellies. They have kreisel systems starting at around $3k. :)

cool jelly :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
