Hello from Canada. I have been fish keeping for around 6-7 years now (if I remember correctly), and I am currently in college (with an aquarium in my room lmao). I have a 20 gallon tall tank with 2 chocolate gouramis (have had them for 10 months now, had 3 but 1 died a week after i got the 3) and an oto, as well as some java ferns and amazon swords. And I used Garfisher because I am one of those odd few who like to fish for Longnose Gar:roll::lol:.
Welcome to the forum. I like the chocolate gouramis but from what I have heard, they are pretty picky about their conditions. Make sure you post some pics of them.

I found that out after I bought them, but they've managed fine (probably due to only being 2 in a 20 gallon tank, which means its less likely that their waste is going to run up the ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels). I havent found them to be particularly picky, for a couple months i had them in a pretty open tank and they did fine, the filter in there has a decent current to it and they are fine with it. Food was worrysome at first until I found out they loved freeze dried bloodworms. And pics are in the picture section;-)
