Hi all, I'm a newbie too. Didn't want to post a new thread just to say hello so I'll do it here. I joined the community because I find forums are THE best resource on the Internet. Nothing beat the answers you will get on a forum.

I'm a novice goldfish keeper. I know a decent amount about goldfish but by no means would I consider myself an expert. I have three goldfish in a fifty gallon tank. I'll look into posting a few pics.

Hi, and welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.

Two cents doesn't get much these days. I remember when 2 cents would give you about 15 minutes of street parking--that certainly ages me; it's now $2 for 15 minutes. Anyway, your two cents are certainly welcome here.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

hello and welcome to you both. :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
