Hello :-)

Hello all.

I am new to this forum, but I am a lurker on some of the others. I like to gain ideas by reading and learning that way. I will occasionally add my two cents but only when I am certain of something.

I have always been a fan of fish. I have had tanks my whole life and have kept many different types of fish. The senegal birchir I have right now I have had for 6 years now. I got him from a not so good situation so he is stunted but is doing quite well. I just lost my 8 year old jack dempsy cichlid. I love all types of animals, but fish and reptiles are definitely my favorites.

I look forward to getting to know you all :)

hello and welcome.
hope you'll be happy here. :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

I'm late to the party as I've been out of town, but welcome to TFK, Sidneymysnake!
Do you have any pics of Sidney to share??

I don't. I wish I did. The only picture I have of any of my animals is my Savannah Monitor. I need to get a new camera.

Hello, and welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
