Hello...

Whats to say? Well I've had my aquarium since I was about 7 (the same one until we moved, then it cracked-so I used one i was growing clovers in) now I am finally getting a 33gallon thing, which I am really looking forwards to! Fish were always a neat thing for me, naming them in particular (I got some good ones) right now there's 5 in total the two Koy (I think they're koy) "Biggie Smalls" and "Lt.Orange" the two Comet's (again I think they're Comet's) "Phil Collins" and "Lenin" and the Betta "Nightfish" its a good group, they don't stay still enough for a decent picture lol

hello and welcome,
do you keep the koi in a pond ?

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

my bad they're comets (the guy who gave them to me was wrong lol) Ponds are uncommon where I live (as its cold 9 months in the year) they along with the other fish are in a large tank (right now they are in a small "temp" tank while the new one comes) originally there was only 2 in there but I got the two larger lads from a friend who was moving, then the betta was bought and tomorrow i get the awesome new tank!

right now, not good ones lol the fish are seemingly aware of the camera presence and don't sit still. plus the current tank, is not as imposing as the 33 gallon (which is awaiting arrival of the fish) I'll totally take some kick ass pictures of all of them then (like tomorrow or the next day)

interesting discovery I made today, I have this fish (Donny I called him) anyways, Donny was always floating at the top and seemed oddly shapped (fat and weird) for a Rosy Red, I thought he was sick or dying, on a site, I just happened to run into a thing about Mosquito Fish and it was exactly like the little guy.
I read it is very common to get "something else" with Rosy Reds (and Comets) at the pet stores
(the fact they sell these little charming guys for 17 cents a piece.)
I took some pictures but am having troubles converting them to a windows format lol
