Hmmmm....what can I say about myself? Well, I'm a Navy wife and a mother to 2 young boys. I'm originally from Arizona, but moved to San Diego to be with my husband. I've always had a passion for fish since I was a little girl (maybe because I'm a Pisces) but I just recently got back into the hobby. I'm currently looking into breeding a few different species of fish for fun and to teach my kids about caring for life and biology. I guess that's about it for now. If you have any other questions feel free to ask! I'm always up for a chat about my "shishies" as my 3 year old calls them! lol
Hi Chelsea, welcome to TFK! Do you have currently have a tank set up or just getting started? How great that you are doing this for your kids. My mother and the 10gl swordtail tank she got me when I was 8 was where it all began for me!
I have a 55 gallon with a fire eel. A 20 gallon community tank with mollies, ghost shrimp, and American flagfish. A 10 gallon with a betta. A 10 gallon with molly fry, corydoras, and bumblebee gobies (temp home for the bumblebees while another tank cycles). A 20 gallon with a convict pair and their 3 week old fry. A 29 and 20 gallon currently cycling, and a few more small tanks planned in the next week or so.
Sorry about the periods after each tank. It just seemed to be the easiest way to separate my tanks.
Welcome and Thank you to your family for their service to our country.....have fun with your boys and fish!!!:-D
