It surely is in the future. Although I did not know they grew that large wow. I may have to start google'ing things haha.
At the moment he is about 10cm so I think i have a while to go yet :)

Probably not as long as you think. Fish grow FAST. I ran into something much like you are now. I had fish that the fish store told me wouldn't get any larger then 6 inches but guess what? They lied. They could get up to 2 feet long and they grew at an amazing rate. If allowed to grow in a tank that is too small, they can get deformed insides and all kinds of health issues.

I learned the hard way that much much more research is needed before taking the sales persons word for it. Good luck to you and your giant fish.

You might want to start digging a fresh water pool in your back yard. lol

Welcome fellow Queenslander to TFK!!! Get yourself a companion Bala but bare in mind they grow to 12 inches long great fish though.
