G'day

G'day all, names Peter from Queensland, Australia (Down Under) Fairly new to the fish fun, my friends Oscar was getting attached his Saratoga. He told me to get a fish tank so I could take his scar off his hands before it because to much of a problem.
So i have a 4 foot by 1.5 by 1.5 foot fish tank, fresh water obviously. and absolutely loving it.
1 Albino tiger oscar, 1 Salmon tail catfish, 1 Rivulatus (Green Terror) and 1 Bala shark. **Girlfriend said if i get a fish tank I have to get her a shark.** haha
Anyways look forward to meeting you all. I have been browsing your forum for some time now learning and all the invaluable information has been great.
Cheerz
Peter

Hi Peter,

Welcome to the forum. We hope you like it here.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Aussie Aussie Aussie! LOL

Heya! I'm on the north coast of NSW :)

Good to see more Aussies getting addicted to fish!

Ah, the serenity......nothing more relaxing or beautiful to look at than fish gliding around their tank......

Welcome to the forum Peter. I think you will need to get your girlfriend a few more Bala Sharks, they love to be in a school. :)

Hi Peter, welcome to TFK! I just googled a Salmontail Catfish as I'd never heard of it before. According to what I read they reach nearly three feet in length! In a 4' by 1.5' tank he'll never be able to turn around. I think a much larger tank is in your future!

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...
