Thankyou for your reply it's appreciated I fell very welcomed im quite saddened by what's happend to my fish is I started with a brisstlenose catfish I feel in love love with them the moment I saw them so I have 1 also I got 2 Silver Sharks my tank can't support anymore I didn't know there a schooling fish and grew so big I returned them to the pet shop (so sad) the Aquarium would only credit me 30% my money in store credit I wanted to buy 3 rainbow barbs he really did not want me buying them and sold me 3 Rosey barbs now there's 2 in the corner 1 in the center of the tank like king barb and he's attacking everything do you have any advice on what to do about these barbs to help stop them eating each other or attacking each other.

Sorry about the long reply

Hi, well Rosy Barbs do best in groups of 6... more members in the group will make less aggression and ease the dominance. However you haven't said how big your tank is. They need a min of 36 inches in length but do best in 48" length. That is a variety of gallon sizes from a 45 long to a 75, both are 4 foot. I think the 35 and 45tall are both 36" long.
They are fast swimmers and need lots of room.

I found out there actually called Odessa Barbs and I got 2 orange colored ones they may be Rosey Barbs I forgot the name already the new fish Aquarium I'm going to are so so much better than the last one so I now have 5 and 1 Hypi thats the Brisstlenose Catfish and he got a piece of driftwood today for being so damn cute and two steamed peas :) he said yum thanks Annie or he said munch, munch, munch LoL thanks for the advice the new additions have shaken up the order in the tank the other two Odessa's arnt cowering in the corner there alot more active :) I'm getting a much bigger tank tonight or tommorow night so that when there grown up they won't need one these fish need to have a dominate leader i think but more helps maybe another Odessa Barb might fix things up.

Awesome! Good to hear! Bigger tanks are a good thing!! They do have a tendency to multiply like fish tho!

I am a big fan of Odessa barbs. I don't have any yet but they're favorite of ours. My wife really likes them too.

Albinos are creepy, but I want some for my tank with the black substrate. They'll stand out like crazy in that dark tank. My regular bristlenose blends in with the driftwood, even in the brighter tanks.
