they are in there, you can still help them with water changes.
do you have any friends with aquariums ? if you do ask them to donate
some filter media and you'll be quicker at the cycle.
Hi yeah I have a mother in law but she only has a 20litre with a little internal filter I was going to rob some foam out of it but there is that much in hers as I don't want to take to much and I have a white wool as well I was going to squeeze some in her tank for a day or to and then bring it to my filter?

if she's doing a water change ask her for the dirty water with the sponge
rinsed out in it,that would be great.

no don't take the sponge from her filter, just wash it out in the old water on water change day,
and put that in your tank, keep to small water changes but don't
touch your filter,as it needs time to build up the bacteria.

no worries…sometimes trying to explain things can be hard to get over,
in cyber world lol
and don't worry that your tank will look a little fuzzy with the dirty stuff
added,as it will soon clear.

ok thank you will do that tomorrow hopefully.i was wondering as well when i do a water change i have do do like 15-20 trips with jugs saucepans w.e i can grab tbh and i go through 3 doors trip on a cat and 2 staffs lol but i have made a water pump out of a broken fluval filter and have a spare airstone and ia filter looks like a pound shop tbh dont look like it would do anything just ripple lol but i was going to put all that and a heater in mybe 60 lite bucket or cut down water butt a couple ddays before water change then when im done cleaning the tank just pump it from bucket or butt to tank? would that work?
