What size are these discus? For adults, $50 is a bargain. If sickly though, it's a different story. Eyes largely disproportionate to its body size is stunting.

We do not need chemicals other than the dechlorinator for discus. Keep everything simple. For juveniles, simply start with a barebottom tank and operate with plenty of water changes and adequate filtration.
