Update: I spent 2 hours yesterdat trying to catch the bigger fish. I got 2 danios and 1 tetra. AAAAH. I should have gotten these guys out BEFORE I planted the tank. I have a "trap"stetup for the catfish, but they love there spot under the stump.

I find using 2 nets, one being a big net, to be helpful.

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta

It was a riot.... I had 2 nets and my wife had one. I caught one danio in my "chase" net and he got out. That net has a hole in it thanks to my pictus who got stuck in the thing and needed to be cut out. He is fine BTW just hada small bit of net stuck to him for a while.
I even pulled some plants out of the left side to make a clean catch zone.
We will try again... maybe tonight.

Do you have a big net?

IME, you have to go in FAST - in and out in 2 seconds. If you don't get them then, wait and try again. Chasing them around the tank is really hard.

Fish have the uncanny ability to know you're coming for them. I have more than 50 fish in one of my tanks. It's doesn't take long for the other 49 to know they are not the target. Sometimes I swear they run interference on me :)

Definitely an Inside job!!! :)

When looking for a solution to an Aquarium problem go slow and change only one parameter at a time!

Keeping fish its not a hobby it is a passion!
