Greater Seattle Aquarium Society. meeting 7:30 second Tuesday of every month at Seattle Pacifc University. Should be a straight shot down 5 for you, about half an hour. They're having their big Action in April if you can wait that long. Chances are someone will have Rams for sale. If you can't get them at the auction, you can almost certainly find a breeder who will give you better fish for a better price than you'll get at Petco/Smart.

You also might want to check out King's Discus in Chinatown. They get good reviews and should have rams. You may want to give B&D Aquarium a call as well. They're a little further south and might give you a better price for rams.

+1 on the auction. Thats how I got my GBR. I got 8 quarter inch fry for $7.00. I've still got 5 of them, and they are about 3 months old now and starting to look like GBR. It was really fun raising them from little grey fishys to colorful adults. Usually at acution the first bag will go for quite a bit and then they get cheaper after that. I stayed 5 hours at the Minnesota aquarium society and towards the very end thing start going really cheap.

You can get German blue rams at the LPS around here, however they cost $10-14 each. On top of that a lot of them come from the same breeder who sells the fry at the auction.
