could have they jumped out of the tank? that's happened to me a few times in the past, where i couldn't find a fish, and then found it on the floor behind the tank. i also have Black Neon Tetras, and at feeding time they can get pretty wild. i often get splashed while feeding them, and about a month ago one completely jumped out of the tank and fell about 6 feet to the carpet. i just bent over and picked it up, and threw it back into the water, and he continued eating like nothing had happened.

No the tank is covered. Plus i looked all around the tank. Gotta be getting eaten

My bet is that they died and were picked apart by the various inhabitants of your tank. It really doesn't take long.
