Two weeks ago I started a tropical fish tank. I had goldfish in here but the last one died a few months ago. I got four male guppies and a small breed pleco. The pleco has been really shy, hiding all the time , I've never had one that shy but I've always had the big ones and thought it was a small breed thing and today when I was looking in the tank today and saw this blobby thing. The tank was empty for two months after the goldfish and there was nothing in the bags with the fish I got, my guess is that it's a baby pleco but I'm not finding any really good pictures that's the type of pleco I have. If it's something bad I need to know.
Is that it hanging vertical against the back wall of the tank?
Can't really see anything from the photo, but if you could try to get a better angle I'm.sure someone on this site can id it for you.
It was on the side of the tank. I first saw it on the heater. It moves at a decent speed along the tank. As the guppies in the photo show it's really small.
OK I got to have a closer look there's attenae it's a snail. I'm just baffled as to how I got a snail. I'm pretty sure it's OK with what I have. The fish don't seem to be bothered by it.
Yeah, snails are fine for your tank, only they will reproduce and you will eventually have a lot of snails.
Hope you really love your new tank.
