Tropical fish, proposed ban

I'm sorry for spamming your boards here. This is about your right to keep tropical fish inthe future. We produced a video along with the help of PIJAC.or (Pet Industry Joint Advisory Counsil) about the proposed bill hr669. This would shut the tropical fish trade down along with the rest of the pet trade. We are asking for your help in helping you keep your beloved fish tanks as well as all our pets. Please watch the video and spread the word. Feel free to contact us at if you have any questions at all. We need to act quick, the sub commity of congress has hearing on this on the 23rd of April. Thanks again and sorry for spamming. Brian(Sbtv)

Its not spam. This is a very important topic. I'm surprised this board doesn't have more posts on the Hr669 bill and what it is proposing. Though personally I don't think it will pass, mainly because of the state of the US economy. This bill will basically throw the entire pet industry out of buissness and increase the unemployment rate, which is already high. The bill as far a fish related bans ALL species except the goldfish. Strictly meaning it would be illegal to buy or breed any other species unless they are added to the approved list. Previously owned fish are considered legal, but then there is the issue of trying to prove you had it prior to the bill. Did you have receipts proving you bought all the fish you currently have? (I sure don't) Say you can prove you bought those guppies, but if they breed its considered illegal........ Seriously!
