Tankmate Suggestions For 180 Gallon

i had 6 tinfoil barbs and 6 bala sharks in a 100 gallon tank....they are all about 4 inches long

i recently set up a 180 gallon tank and moved all the fish into it

now im looking at adding fish to this tank but not sure what to go with....i was originally thinking about some ID sharks or silver dollars....but now im thinking about maybe some bottom dwelling fish like cats, corys, or clown loaches,

any suggestions?

I know the present fish may not seem like much in the larger tank, but remember that they will grow to 8/14 inches (the Tinfoil, depending which species) and 14-16 inches (Bala) and these need swimming space.

The Tinfoil will eat smaller fish, but I don't know how far this applies to substrate fish. Some of the larger loaches would work, but I would probably avoid the clown loach as this gets large too, and requiring a group will take up a lot of space. There are some other nice loaches that max out around 5-6 inches, check the profiles.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

thanks for the reply, i realize how big these fish get, when they get too big or the tank gets too crowded i will re-home some of them, that will not be a problem, so im looking to add right now....

im looking for a small school of bottom dwelling fish, something that is a bit out of the ordinary....no clown loaches or cory cats.....something a bit different

any suggestions?
