Suggestions?

Okay well i have a empty 10 gallon tank with no supplies yet so im starting fresh it used to be my toad tank but i cleaned it well. and i want to get a fish that will be like following me everywhere and have this happy feeling about on him like when you look at him its like looking at a puppy and since im not allowed to get dogs anymore...or rodents or anything other than fish i wanted a fish that would fill this empty void of mine. so any sugggestions? i want a fish that when i look at it i smile automatically. i wanted to make like a dream fishtank and i was going to use these stalagtites as rocks (their supposed to be for bettas) and im going to make it look like its a paradise so i wanted a fish thats so flamboyant like itll be like a puppy but its also pretty and cute enough to cheer me up
