suggestions for 10g

i got my daughter a 10g fish tank for christmas (she's only almost two, so obviously just for her to look at lol) anyway just wondering from anyone's experience what fish can live comfortably in there? i'm not the kind of person that needs to overstock and have a bunch of fish, i'd rather just have one or two really cool fish. so what do you think? i've got it up and running and have placed two filters in the tank that i had running for quite a while in my established 55g, so i was going to run out and get a fish tonight... thanks!

They are very hardy, and if healthy look good. :)

Or maybe a few guppies.

You could also be a bit different and get 2 or 3 dwarf puffers but make sure you do a bit of research on them first as they take more care than most fish and need a more specific diet including snails and live and frozen meaty foods. Your tank will only experience a mini-cycle rather than a full cycle because you hae had the filters running in an establishe tank however I still wouldn't recommend the puffers until the tank is 100% cycled as they're more sensitive than most fish. They could still be worth thikning about since they're quite "funny looking" and cute so your daughter might really enjoy them.

In a 10g, I'd personally select a couple of oddballs. But that's just me . . .

Namely, an Apple Snail, a Vampire Shrimp and then possibly a small shoal of 6 tetras.
