Arrow Some new fish, update

Well since I've been away... i got rid of my CAE in the 55g, and my HUGE gold Gourami passed away.

Fish in my 10g are the same and doing fine. In fact since all the plants are really growing out in there they seem to be happier than ever!

I got a couple new fish for the 55g.
Got a new tiny baby Peppered Cory cat... he is TINY! and has yet to discover his new Cory friends. He spends all day eating in the smallest places nobody else can get in anymore, LOL.

Got a male Dwarf Gourami. The red/blue stripe kind. Always wanted one, they are so pretty!

And lastly, got a new Sunset Gourami. He is supposed to get as big as my Gold was, but he is a itty bitty little thing right now. I will post pics shortly!

hi
nice to hear you got some new fishies, sorry about your gourami.
look forward to seeing them all.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Yah i was pretty upset about him... he was one that let me touch him all the time when i was doing stuff in the tank, or when he came to the top. Thanks.

your welcome,
i never liked my one,he was very mean to all the fish i had,the
only fish that really interacted with me have been tiger barbs and platys.

I guess I've been lucky, all my Gourami's have been pretty well tempered (so far lol!)

I couldn't get any good pics of the tiny lil peppered cory cat. He is back in a place under my driftwood that I just couldn't get a good pic lol!

But here are the 2 new Gouramis!

The male dwarf

The "Sunset"

And a new pic of my Sterbai & Albino Corys to make up for not being able to photo the new cory LOL!

JoAnn, that spotted cory in the last photo is not C. sterbai, I suspect it is Corydoras sodalis. This species has some variability to the reticulated pattern (identical to C. reticulatus but the latter has a black blotch in the dorsal which sodalis does not) but lacks the orange pectoral fins that are always present on C. sterbai, and the body pattern is quite different in detail.

Your new gourami are indeed beautiful, nice fishies.

I agree, your new gouramis are beautiful.

I think sunset gouramis are a color morph of the dwarf gourami, so I don't think it'll get as big as a gold gourami would. Still a nice looking fish, though!
