I'm not sure if this is in the right place but it's mixes a few types of fish.

Last week I bought 12 Cherry Red Shrimp. They came FedEx and I was so excited to put them in my tank so they could get bigger, adolencent shrimp ship better I'm told, and do what they do best. I bought the Cherry Red onces so my 2 year old could see them easier than the Glass Shrimp that I can get at any store. Anyway, I put these little guys in ym tank and my sword ate one literally before he made it to the bottom of the tank. Now, 3 days later, I can't find an shrimp at all!! I bought my swords a $25 dinner!! I really want to get more shrimp since I really like what they can do for my tank and my son really liked them also. Any suggestions? Should I buy the cheap Glass Shrimp who are bigger and see if they get eaten before I spend more money on the Cherry's? Should I just give up on shrimp?

Swordtails are quite big so cherry shrimps are not going to last. Ghost shrimps on the other hand will do as they are bigger in size.:) If you want cherries, keep only small species of tetras, rasboras, endlers, guppies and white clouds.:)
