should i be concened about my waters oxygen levels
i was wondering if the oxygen levels in my tank should be something i pay more attention to. I have a 90 gallon with three large canister filters and two large airstones. i get very good surface agitation, and the water seems well airrated. i was wondering if i am doing everything i can to keep an optimal enviornment for my oscars and silver dollars?
How many Oscars and silver dollars? Sounds like plenty of filtration and oxygen exchange. Would be sure and keep up with water changes to keep NitrAtes at twenty or below. As these fish grow ,water changes will go a long way towards keeping the fish healthy. If you have more than two oscars and four silver dollars,I might consider a larger tank in the near future. Weekly 25 percent water changes may need to be increased to twice weekly as these fish mature.
The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
