rope fish dying?

hey i have a new rope fish had him for about 2 weeks, i've noticed that he hasnt eatin much or anything at all but i thought that was cuz i had him in a 10gal. i moved him today to a much bigger tank that has been cycled properly and since i've put him in he's moved maybe 5 inch's. he's just laying on the bottom of the tank almost on his side breathing heavily. its a 50 gal tank with lots of hiding places and no other tank mates so far, temp is 27 (81) and the water reads:
nitrate-5
nitrite-0
ph-6.5
kh-70
gh-65
ammonia-0
If anyone has any ideas they would be much appreciated i dont want him to die.
