Red Belly Pacu!! My dad had one before. Aren't they the same thing as Red Belly Pirahnas? I heard they were cousins but I wasn't sure about that.

Over hundreds of bettas die in their small, dirty cups each day. Only you can help them live. Research and then save them, today!

Pacu's are cool . I had three of them that grow to about a foot in a 110 gallon tank .I use to feed them road kill . Dead Mice, birds ,.

But you have to chop the road kill into small pieces. if you have the stomach for it?

They're not the same thing as pirahnas, but they are pretty closely related. Same family. Characidae. It's actually the same one that our little tetras come from. I've sometimes seen juvenile redbelly pirahna being sold as redbellied pacu. They do look remarkably similar.
