Oooo I got another betta! yay

So i went to the pet store in the big town that we live kinda near by, and picked up another new betta, 2 tanks, rocks and plants. oh and pellet food.
I was supposed to get 2 bettas, so i would have three total, but they only had one Delta Tail and no Half moons, so i was going to get the Delta tail, who was pretty, not my first choice but i would be happy with him. He was black with Lines of Turquoise. They could put him hold but they said they didn't expect many people in so he should be there. So i came back a few hours later (didn't want him to sit in the car for 6 hours) and someone bought not only him, but the other Cream one that was really light but when it hit the light shimmered in pinks and blues...
So i got this little one, he is like 1 inch. and BRIGHT blues. But he doesn't seem to be taking as well as the other one did. He is hiding and flares up at anyone that comes in the room and hides the rest of the time... but its only been like 14 hours.
So i go back in 2 weeks for a dentist appointment and hopefully they will have another delta tail.
But i got this really cool bowl (2 gallons, don't freak) and it looks like a hurricane glass... its awesome!

His name is Surimi and the other ones name will be Sashimi/
So there will be Sushi, Sashimi, and Surimi... good luck keeping them straight. lol... and hey i can have a full dinner with them

Glad to hear about your new betta. :) It will take awhile for him to get used to his new home so I'm sure he'll be ok after awhile. Good luck with all your bettas.

yep yep yep my mom doesn't really like me having 3 fish bowls in my room, but hey i got the room for it, so why not! But i draw my limit at 3... If i REALLY need something else i will either get a bigger tank and put some Tetras in it (btw, are neon tetras the only type of tetra that can be with betta?) or put a snail/ghost shrimp in the bowl

Yeah, I live with my elderly mother and she's not too thrilled with mine either. She's not an animal lover. lol But as long as we take care of our fish then we should be able to have them. I hae 5 in my room and would like to have more.:)

nope, there are soooo man kinds of tetras, and other schooling fish that go well with bettas!! Just make sure that they don't have long fins and aren't aggressive!
