Omega One Veggie Flakes--original or kelp?

Which is the best, and healthiest? My Omega One Veggie flakes are almost gone, and I keep seeing Omega One Veggie with kelp. Is there any reason one would be better than the other? I have female bettas, guppies, platies, mollies and Rainbowfish, and am not sure which product to buy.

10 gallon- 8 Harlequin Rasboras, 1 female betta.

20 gallonH - 1 Peacock Gudgeon, 2 Skunk Cories, 1 Sparkling Gourami. , one male betta, 2 nerite snails.

55 gallon - 3 Turquoise Rainbows, 1 Boesemani Rainbow, 2 Australian Rainbow, 4 Gold Dust mollies, 1 L. Dorsigera, 2 White Cloud Mountain Minnows, 1 Honey Gourami, 3 Cherry barb, 1 Koi Angelfish, 4 female betta.

Hey, Rocky! It's always nice to see you around! Hope all is well over there!!!!

I don't use this brand, so I'm not really sure which would be best. If it were me, I'd compare the ingredients of both and see if there are any obvious differences between the two. I've unfortunately found that sometimes the main difference is packaging - though that isn't always the case, of course!

If you're willing to look into something new, I feed all my tanks with NewLifeSpectrum brand food, its been a long while since I did my own ingredient comparisons between the two, but I DO remember that NLS brand came out ahead of every other brand (at least from my pov).

Hopefully someone will be able to give you a definite answer on the differences between these two. . . I wonder if they have their ingredient list up on a website somewhere?

Hi Chesh! I also feed NLS, but for the flakes I use Omega One. From what I've read on the ingredients list, the only difference is the addition of kelp in the newer product. I think I'll stick with the Veggie Flakes, as the fish love them and do so well on them. I won't feed my fish anything other than NLS, Omega One and Hikari brands.

How are all your Bolivians doing?

SO nice to hear from you!!! Becoming recently went through a rough patch, but is recovering now. I'm working on an update to my thread, but there's a LOT to process... do you have journals/logs of your tanks? I thought you did at the very beginning, but I seem to have become unsubscribed!

Oh, sorry to hear about your rough patch! Hope it wasn't too bad! No, I have not blogged yet. I just have some pics put up on my profile. I'll be looking for your update.
