odd behavior

hi i have a small common goldfish and a ryukin and for some reason the common goldfish keeps chasiing the rykin around which seems to cause the ryukin some stress the odd thing is is that when the ryukin stops swimming instead of nipping or harrasing the fish it merely noses the under side of its belly and the back of its tail its been doing this ever since i put them in together and i have been perplexed about it for ages if anyone could shed some light on this odd behavior it would relieve a lot of confusion
