-shrimp eat everything. algae wafer are good, but pretty much any sinking food they will go for

-I've never kept dwarf gourami, but they may pick at them. I keep cherrys in with my blue rams and I know the cherries get eaten sometimes. They breed quickly though.

-Cherry shrimp get to be about 1" long

-adults wont get sucked into the filter but babies can

I feed my shrimp Hikari Crab Cuisine mini-pellets. It contains calcium to help with shell development. They are also really small, and the shrimps seems to like them.

Hey there, your shrimp will get approximately 1 to 1 1/2 inches long. I would suggest getting some java moss so your shrimp will have a place to hide and if they breed your fry will have a place to hide. Eating is cake, they will eat just about anything algae wafers are fine and they will even eat their own exo skeleton when they shed so they can get nutrients back. Have fun with your shrimp. The dwarf gourami may pick at them, it all comes down to the gourami itself. You might have a friendly one or you might have one with a tad bit of an attitude.
