A new species for my 25 gallon community?

I've lost some of my fish population over the last few months due to old age, and I'd like very much to add some color to my aquarium but I need some help in selecting suitable additions.

Current inhabitants:
Two mollies, one flame (dwarf) gourami- well tempered, four zebra danios, and four guppies. And an apple snail.

The tank itself:
Well planted, pH of 8, no ammonia no nitrite, low (25 ppm) nitrate, fully cycled. It is a 25 gallon. Temp:26 deg C , 80 deg F.

What would work with these guys? I'd like something colorful and active. I was thinking of a shoal of neon tetras, if that's possible.

I fear the temp and pH would not suit the neon tetras who prefer softer ,cooler water.
I might select white cloud minnows, the gold variety are very nice looking in my opinion and are a fairly hardy fish.
