New 55g tank

Hey, new to the forum, not new to the hobby :)
I have recently come into possesion of a 55 UK gallon tank which currently contains 20 [info]neon tetra[/info], 10 [info]marble hatchetfish[/info], 10 [info]albino cory[/info] and 2 [info]honey gourami[/info]. I am new to the 'small' fish side of the hobby- focusing more on those wonderfull oscars and cichlids :D but wanted to try something a little different.

I was just wondering if the above mentioned stock list is overstocking the tank or not, and if there are any compatability issues with them.

Thanks,
James

That depends - if it's a heavily planted tank, then that might be fine. Otherwise, you're into twice weekly water change territory.

Your fish is hardly going to add too much bioload.:) You're fine with the stocking along with compatibility.:)

the honey gourami appear to have burst out in a the worst case of white spot imaginable... I have turned that tank into a quaratine one and am adding treatment to it, however the gourami and half of the hatchetfish didn't look like they were going to last the night so i was forced to dispose of all the fish, clear out the tank and start again

sorry just thought i'd share. lol
