New 55g Fish Help!!

I got my 55 gallon tank set up a few days ago and tonight I went out and bought three fish; a Green Terror, Jack Dempsey, and an Albino Rainbow Shark. The Rainbow Shark, Marshall, does his own thing and is getting along fine with the two Chichlids. However, the Terror, which is slightly larger than the Dempsey, is constantly chasing the Dempsey around and is slightly attacking him....

I realize they are both semi-agressive fish, but will this continue? And will the Terror eventually kill the Dempsey?

thanks!

Yes, It will probably continue. Yes it can cause death.Ranibow shark would not have been my choice for cichlid tank.
At this point, reaquascaping might help little w/ aggression. But more concerned with your water quality for next TWO month.
Invest in Ammonia and Nitrite and pH test kit (liquid sol'n) unless you already have. Do testing daily or every other day for ammo and nitrite. Do partial water changes as needed.

I made the same mistake as you and put a couple Cichlid's in the same 45G tank....except my problem is my Convict always chases my Jack Dempsey.

It's annoying, but I'm re-aquascaping today so all territory is fair game...for a bit at least...

Convicts can be very tough for their size. Very good parents though.

"Semi-aggressive"? Is that what they were labeled as in the store? Both of these fish are actually darn aggressive. Also, because they look fairly similar, they are particularly prone to fighting between them. The problem may never rectify itself. If the terror is relentlessly beating on the Dempsey, I would return one of the fish. You might want to try removing the terror into a bucket of tank water with an air stone for an hour or so, changing around the decor in the tank, and putting him back in, but cichlids are pretty smart so don't expect him to fall for it.
