Ok, thanks!

Can you explain what you mean by buffering properties? How do I tell if the sand does or not?

Some sands such as for marine or african cichlid tanks will raise your Ph. You can check with your LFS. Tell them you need a sand that is inert so it doesn't change your Ph. Or you can use play sand from Lowes or Home Depot.

150 Gallon - Mostly American Cichlids
135 Gallon - Angelfish Community
75 Gallon - Odd couple (Polleni/Angelfish)
55 Gallon - African tank
20 Gallon Long - QT
10 Gallon - Empty
