My Local Fish Store & new shrimp

Wow I was shocked when I went in. Usually their fish look fine but today when I went in there was a fish with its backside with no skin or scales there. ): And many fish were dead or dying stuck to the filter.

I also saw African Dwarf Frogs that were dyed pink, blue, and green. Has anyone seen this before? I even asked the girl helping me (she looked like she was 13 years old) if they were dyed and she said no.

Even though I saw all those poor fish I saw some ghost shrimp in a tank and couldn't resist so I bought 3. Right now they're exploring and seem healthy, though one has what looks like a broken appendage (it's really white and just hanging off him. it's one of his main pinscer things or whatever it's called) and he's tiny so I'm naming him Tiny Tim. :P

I also asked the girl what shrimp eat and she said fish flakes. I don't think they do but can someone explain if they do or not? I bought shrimp pellets for them.

Oh and there were also guppies that looked like they had letter and shape tattoos on them!

Shrimp are scavengers and eat pretty much anything slow enough (or stupid) for them to catch (one time one of my ghost shrimp caught a fry), so fish flakes would work now whether this is proper nutrition or not is another thing I cant comment on.
