Unhappy My kuhli loach is in my heater.

Ehum..

My sister got a fish tank a while ago, and when she was picking out fish,

she decided to buy one little kuhli loach.

So this little guy would hide all day because It had no friends

and so I moved it into my 55 gallon.

He was still by himself so he would hide all day, and I had him for a few months and never got him any friends and I feel really bad, but I have no where to give him away to and I donít want any more loach.

One day I noticed he wasnít hiding under his usual rock, so I assumed he died for loneliness. ( I am such a cruel owner :c)

But today I noticed he was in my heater!!

Theres this little grid around the outside of the heater and he somehow managed to get himself inside!

I donít know if hes stuck or if hes just staying there by choice but I donít think hes been eating, unless he goes out at night and eats whats on the bottom.

I donít know how to get him out either!

I donít think i can get the grid off without squishing him!

Agh.

What do I do.

Loaches have a habit of getting into tight places. If you can't remove the cover without squishing him, don't remove it. He might just come out on his own when he loses a bit of weight. Just keep a close eye on him now. And you might want to rehome him if you don't want any more loaches.
