There are some problems looming with your stocking of fish.
First, Chinese algae eaters get very aggressive as they mature, and have been known to attack other fish. They also eat less and less algae to the point where they won't touch it at all. I would get rid of both. They reach 8-10 inches and are nasty.
The loach must have a group, five would be fine in your 4-foot tank. Read the profile information and you will see why this is crucial to the health of this fish. This is the species: Botia almorhae. You can click on the shaded name to see the profile.
The Kissing Gourami is not a good community fish. It needs a group, but it grows large and will eat anything smaller. It will also eat soft plants. Please read the profile, all this is referenced there.
