Hi guys,
Fell asleep early last night and my timer for the lights must have messed up as they were still on at 5 this morning. Whats the short term or long term effects this could have on fish if it happened again,
I'm planning on leaving the lights off for longer this morning to try and make up for it

Not much IMO. I've found if fish are on a timer schedule they tend to stick to it even if it gets screwed up for a couple days. Every week or so one of my tanks will stay on till 2am or something because I lost the the little red OFF peg:roll:. Buy midnight though everything is already gone to sleep. It is kinda interesting when it happens to my panda garras, because they always sleep in their coconut caves. They are pretty accurate at what time they normally go to sleep and will go to their caves and refuse to come back out even if the lights are on for 4 more hours. Its only has an effect if the system consistently changes. After a few days of the light being different the fish will start adjusting to the new times.
