Koi identification

koi identification
hiii everyone i should be getting some fish for my pond on saturday and i was looking on the internet to see what i could get and i know about koi carp but i then came across ghost carp and was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference

Its a hybrid of two species, the wild carp and a particular variety of koi (common carp).

thanks :D and i have another question, in the place i plan to get my fish the ghost koi had mesh over the tank they were in why is this??? is it becuase they jump?

Carp can jump. Biggest thing is to make sure you have a proper pond for it. They are not aquarium fish but pond fish. Its not unusual to see a pond with netting over the top. This isn't to keep the fish in, but to keep the animals out. Birds and other things can make quick work of domesticated fish. Koi tend to think most things have come to give them food.
