Just a quick question.

I just purchased an Albino Oscar, about a week ago. She was 1 1/2 inches long, TOPS.
She is now 4 inches long, and just ate her first live food. All of this is beside the point.
The question I had was what to identify her as. She was purchased as an Albino Tiger.
She has black-ish/grey on her pectorals and dorsal as well as her tail. I have no idea what
to classify her as because she's white, orange and grey/black.

Still classified as an albino tiger or is she classified as other?

Silly question, but I'm curious.

Also, I have a ghost shrimp that was originally bought as a feeder along with 7 others and put in the 1 gallon we use as a holder for feeders. He just finished killing off the last shrimp and when we put our small feeders in the tank, he almost killed two of them immediately, so we took him out and put him in the tank with my Oscar and my 8-inch pleco. I'm really worred he's going to go after my 4-inch Oscar while she's sleeping and hurt her. He bit the heads, literally, off the other shrimp. Will she be okay? I'm thinking about just killing him and feeding him to her.

Could you not kill your fish for acting like a fish? If he is recently purchased most LFS will take them back. Also regarding the rapid growth I would always know the name of the type of fish before purchasing to make sure they won't outgrow my tank and also to make sure I can take care of it properly.

I've owned oscars before I was just curious about the color strain.

Also, I meant killing the shrimp. He got eaten by my Oscar already, though.

No, no, I was scared my .36 cent Ghost Shrimp was going to kill my $15.00 Oscar.
I'm a vegan, and killing the Shrimp would be hard enough. o.O
I definately do my research before purchasing any animal, especially fish.

Oh geez I just re-read the original post and now i understand! You know what? I just put four amano shrimp in my community that has like almost a dozen cherry shrimp and all i've found are amano skeletons...I keep wondering if the cherry shrimp have some territory issues! Probably just my yo-yo loaches, though, since they tend to go for the snails too. I never thought of shrimp like that, though!
