Jack Dempsey still on it's side. Looking moldy?

Well, you'll know the situation if you read my previous thread.

http://www.fishforum.com/freshwater-...lp-asap-28697/

He's still on his side. With white, mould like growths appearing on him. Really, he looks like he's been dead for a week. Still breating alright, though his gills looks like their getting covered over by a mucus?

Started a treatment for ulcers/rot/etc. Is that the right thing to do?

Should I just put him down? Doesn't look like it would be fun, but I'm hoping for a recovery. I figure, it's still alive now, so it may well make it?

Ideas?

What medication are you using?
Can you post a picture of the fish?
Also, test your water for ammonia and nitrites, post your results.
