pet store where i live know nuttin about fish keep them good health but dont know what fish from what fish so i got to go threw here to find out what they are here is the picture of one what is it and what do they eat and also they have this brown fish with wiskers almost like a cat fish no stripes or anything and they call them jack demseys can that be true cuz i have one and it dont look like that
Looks like a Kuhli Loach or very close relative to me. Mine don't touch snails. They eat pretty much any sort of food that lands on the bottom of the tank, including flake, crumbles, shrimp pellets, frozen brine shrimp and blood worms and live blackworms.
the loach is in your tank ?
yes it's fine in there,i think they like to be in a group too.
there were guppys in that picture and one looked
heavily pregnant. not sure of the other tetra though(the red one)
yeah i got some guppies in my tetra tank as well i bought 3 loaches so its not alone and the red tetra is a jewel tetra if you were wondering i have many dirrfent types of tetras, bloodfin tetras, dimaond tetras, neon, just to name a few
oh yeah i have a betta fish in there as well you can see him in one of the pictures he is blue ok well in two the last one and the second one behind the plant he gets along with all my guppies as well funny huh
Yep, kuhli loaches :) I love these fish - and find that they fare best when kept in large groups. Give them plenty of hiding places, and they also like planted tanks. Great fun to watch and when kept in a large group you'll find they will venture out in the open a lot more often.
Make sure you have some sinking food in order that the mid and top dwellers don't scoff it all before the kuhlies have a chance to feed :)
